Eadweard Muybridge at Tate Britain

Eadweard Muybridge was an early pioneer of photography and was the man that proved that a horse momentarily has all four hooves off the ground while galloping. He was born in Kingston-upon-Thames and emigrated to the US in the 1850s. He captured many other images of humans and animals in motion and was also known for his vast panaromics of American landscapes.

This exhibition opens at Tate Britain on 8th September and runs until 16th January 2011. More details may be found on the Tate web site.
