Photo Opportunities in Cambridge

Open Cambridge – a weekend of free tours, talks and open access organised by the University of Cambridge, 10-12th September 2010

Cambridge is home to some spectacular architecture, fantastic art collections and beautiful gardens. Taking place across the weekend of 10-12th September, Open Cambridge – part of Heritage Open Days – gives families, local residents and community groups the opportunity to visit properties that are usually closed to the public or normally charge for admission.

On Friday and Saturday, pre-bookable tours cover topics such as the history, architecture, art and gardens of the University, College and city buildings, whilst College and University departmental libraries will open their doors, allowing exploration of exciting collections and manuscripts. In particular, the many open garden events such as Clare Hall: A College Beyond the Backs gives the opportunity to see the buildings, gardens and art works of one of the smallest and youngest Colleges of the University.

Event listings and bookings are available at www.cam.ac.uk/opencambridge
