7th June 2026 | Duxford Imperial War Museum | Tickets: £20 (first come, first served)
The EAF is thrilled to announce a brand-new event designed to bring our photographic community closer together — the EAF Duxford 26, taking place at the iconic Duxford Imperial War Museum!
This exciting day is all about connection, creativity and collaboration, and we’re inviting photographers from across the region to come together, share images and celebrate the art of photography.
Whether you are part of a well-established club or a smaller group just finding your feet, this is your chance to get involved, be inspired and explore this new EAF initiative.
This friendly competition is open to clubs with 35 members or fewer who have not entered the EAF Interclub Print or PDI Championships in the past five years. It’s a great way for smaller clubs to get involved without the pressure of full-scale competition.
The format is “6 from 6” — that’s six images from six different photographer – any subject
2 prints – unmounted if you prefer, size A4 to A3
2 digital images – 1600 x 1200, JPEGS – SRGB colour space
2 mobile phone photos – (pdi) must be taken with a phone – any phone
But don’t worry about letting your side down — no scores will be given out on the day. Instead, each entry will receive friendly, constructive critique from some of the EAF’s top A-Panel judges. It's all about learning, growing, and enjoying the experience. Rules will be available later this autumn.
While the judges review and mark the images in private, delegates will have access to photograph in and around. the incredible Duxford Imperial War Museum. With its iconic aircraft, powerful exhibits, and atmospheric hangars, it’s a photographer’s dream location.
Even better — images taken during the day can be submitted to a bonus competition, with the chance to win tickets to a major Duxford event later in the year. Whether you shoot aviation, architecture, or detail shots, it’s a fantastic opportunity to showcase your eye and creativity - Winners announced post event.
We’ll wrap up the day with a relaxed and supportive critique session of selected images from the ‘6 from 6’ competition, that’s open to all attendees. Our experienced judges will share their thoughts on selected images, offering valuable insights and tips to help you grow as a photographer.
Finally, the winning club will be announced, and their full ‘6 from 6’ portfolio will be showcased. Our friendly judges will talk through each image and explain why this set stood out — a brilliant chance to learn what makes a truly impactful photographic series.
Entry forms for the competition, along with details on how to reserve your ticket to attend will be available later in the year. Spaces are limited and tickets will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so be ready to secure your spot early!
Tickets are just £20. Excellent value for a full day of inspiration, learning and photography.
Doors open at 9:00 am, with tea and biscuits to welcome you. Judging begins at 10:30 am while delegates have the chance to photograph around the museum until 2:30 pm. There’s plenty of time to enjoy lunch at one of the museum’s eateries or bring a packed lunch if you prefer. The critique session starts in the auditorium at 2:30 pm, with awards closing the day at 5:00 pm.
Join us for a day of creativity, connection, and community with the EAF!
