2.1 Image Eligibility.

An image maybe entered into any Championship a maximum of 3 times over a maximum of two calendar years. If it gains an award in one Championship it will not be eligible to get another award in any subsequent championship whether print of PDI.

An image which has previously appeared at the PAGB club championship may not be entered in the equivalent EAF championship. If it has been shown at PAGB level as a PDI it may, however, be shown as a print and viceversa.

Images which are, essentially, very similar to previous entries by the same Individual– or which have had a minor edit or change are considered to be the same image and are subject to the above rule regarding entry count.

Minor edits and changes are, for example, (and not limited to)

Change from Colour to Mono or Vice-versa.
Minor additions or subtractions to content.
Change from Print to PDI or vice-versa.
Change of Title. Titles must not be changed upon subsequent submissions to EAF events.

The EAF will rely on club’s integrity for management of this aspect – with review by the EAF Championship Sub Committee if a disagreement arises. In this respect the Championship Secretary – with guidance and support from the Sub Committee will be final.

All images, and components of images, entered must be the Copyright of the Individual Club Member making the entry and must originate from photographic capture.

The use of Clip-Art or any other image or image component such as Royalty Free content is not permitted.

The use of AI generated images or components of images is not permitted.

The use of Processing Tools where there is an AI element which assists the efficiency of the tool, but where the Author is in complete control of the output is permitted. Again, we rely on the integrity of the Individual Club Member for compliance with this aspect of the rules.
